Bay Area heat: Weather temperatures to hit 100s and 90s inland, coast will be cool

Published Monday June 27

Pack plenty of water and be prepared for the heat for a few more days if you do not live near the coast.

So says Mother Nature, which will continue to push the thermometer toward the 90s and 100s in several inland areas Mon while the coast feels considerably cooler, a National Weather Service forecaster said.

It’s going to continue what is the very typical summer pattern, meteorologist Brian Mejia said. It’s a large bubble of high pressure that keeps it hot inland and cool on the coast.

San Jose and Fremont could reach ninety degrees, while Oakland is expected to hover in the 80s.
